Introduction of Steel Rails
In China, steel rails are divided into two categories: light rails and heavy rails. The spec of steel rails (except crane rails) is represented by kg/m, e.g.: 18 kg/m, 50 kg/m. Rails can be classified by kilometers per meter. Light rails are steel rails that are 30kg/m or less, and heavy rails are more than 30kg per meter.
According to tensile strength, steel rails also can be divided into three grades, including normal rails (the tensile strength is 586-785MPa), wear-resistant rails (the tensile strength is 883-1030MPa) and superfine rails (the tensile strength is 1079-1226MPa).
Generally the specs of rails are 38 kg/m, 43 kg/m, 50 kg/m and 60 kg/m. The lengths of standard rails usually are 12.50 meters and 25.00 meters. The lengths of curved rails are shorter, including 12.46 meters, 12.42 meters, 24.96 meters and 24.92 meters.
Since the rails have to withstand the impact load, friction and stress of locomotives, they should have sufficient strength, hardness, toughness and good welding performance. Our steel rails, which undergo alloying and heat treatment process, can meet all these requirements.
Our steel rails are widely used in a variety of industries and applications, for example, our heavy rails are mainly used for laying of railroads; our light rails are widely used in mines; our crane rails are increasingly used in port building.
Features of Steel Rails
With many years of rail manufacturing experience, we, a Chinese steel rail maker, are able to provide a full line of steel rails at competitive prices. Our steel rails are in accordance with international standards, including GB Standard, American Standard, BS Standard, SA Standard, Australian Standard, and UIC 860 Standard etc. With complete specs, our products are widely used by our global customers.
Materials of Steel Rails
| Steel rail | Material |
| Light rail | Q235 or 55Q |
| Heavy rail | 50Mn or U71Mn |
| Crane rail | U71Mn |

Company Brief: YUYUN Steel Rolling Co., Ltd. has been a steel rail manufacturer in China since 1995. In order to accommodate customers' demands, we have continuously expanded our product lines. Generally our products fall into four categories, which are steel rails (GB standard rails, AREMA standard rails, BS standard rails etc.); railway track parts (fishplates, steel sleepers etc.); profile steel (I-beam steel, angle steel etc.); and deformed steel (C, T and U shaped steel, channel section steel etc.).
